Free Pattern Time

Brown Sugar Shawl

 Designer Melissa W.

copyrighted Sept. 2006 Melissa W.

J Hook

I used fingering weight yarn (but you can use whatever you like)

CH 150 (or enough to tie in the front with some drape)

Row 1 - SC in 2 ch and each ch after, ch4 turn

Row 2 -  *skip 2 sc and sl in next sc, sc in same stitch, ch 4* repeat to end of row

Row 3 - ch 4 turn, skip first ch sp *sl in next ch space, sc in same stitch*

You will continue this pattern until you reach point on the bottom.

Fringe was added to every other stitch on sides and bottom.

If you do make this shawl, please send me a pic of your finished shawl, I would love to see everyone's version!!

Oh I would say it was a little over half a cone. I will have to look what the yardage on my cone was. It was rayon and silk and I had enough to use on another shawl.

Thanks for the compliment!!

That's pretty. Now, how much yardage wise fingering yarn did you use for yours?
