What is it about the holidays that makes everyone complain and gripe so much. I hear so many people complaining about how many gifts they have to buy this year and how many people will be celebrating the holidays with them this year and so on!! I just want to shake them and scream that while they are bitching there are so many people who have no family, no home, no christmas!!! I am so thankful to have everything I have including my family. I just wish everyone could realize that there are so many less fortunate that would love to have someone to spend Christmas with or a place to go or a hot meal to eat. So really when you thank about it your problems with your family not getting along, or having too many family members is really pretty minute and stupid!!

Happy Hookers Say What Permalink Today is my little Ray's 4th birtday. We had her b-day party this past Saturday and she had a blast!! I can't believe that 4 years have gone by so fast, it certainly doesn't feel that way. She got some great toys and some much needed winter clothes. Her legs grown so fast that we can barely keep up. She is a small child with long twig legs, so you can imagine our frustration when buying clothes. Her waist is still at a 2T and her legs at a 4T..........I wish I had that problem LOL!!
Okay so I still have a stack of WIPs, but here are a few things I have actually finished.
First a brown shrug made out of TLC Essentials for myself.
And the hot-shawl-late for myself out of some goregous mohair that I picked on ebay, also for myself.
The baby it's cold outside sweater for my baby.
A sweater for a friend's baby shower
A scarf for me
And just two caps finished for the caps to the capitol campaign......I am planning on 20, so I need to get my rear in gear.
Now it's birthday brownie time!!!!

October was a horrible month for me not only did I lose my boss and a dear friend, but my job as well. So now I am on the hunt for a new job and I am really nervous and excited at the same time. It is so close to Christmas and my little girl is turning 4 at the end of this month so I need a job pretty quick. I have been crocheting with my time as well as spending the days with my girls. I should have pics soon of all my work. I did the one skein scarf with a hat to match, a newsboy hat for my little girl, still working on the short n sweet, started my caps to the capital and need to finish some afghans for Project linus. On top of all that I making the baby it's cold outside sweater and a cardigan for my oldest as well as baby sweaters for a friend's baby shower...............wow that sounds like a lot!!! After all that I have been thru in October I am so glad that November is here.
Happy Hookers Say What Permalink This past friday, the 6th, I went into work (on my day off) to see if my boss was feeling any better since she had been sick for a couple of days before. My boss was also my husband's aunt by marriage. Anyway, I walked into the office and found her lying face down in the floor. She had a massive heart attack and died instantly. She was only 58 and was a wonderful woman. God Bless!! Comment (1) Permalink Okay so I couldn't pass up these knitted disasters........and believe it or not they are for sale!!!!! For a mere $99.00 you can look like this.............  *Oh Shit my sweater swallowed my head!!!! or like cookie monster.................at least from the waist down  and if you ever wondered what cookie monster wears when it is hot outside.........I have found the answer..........  That is all the fugliness I can handle for one day!! See yall tomorrow when I regain my composure. Comment (1) Permalink Its is October and that means that is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Which also means that we need to get that pink yarn out and start creating! I have a scarf that I am going to be doing in pink and a shawl that I have to start, and I finished a sweater for my baby in pink. Lets show our support and wear pink this month!! So lets get the blogs together and have a THINK PINK CAL!! Post all your pink creations in support. It can be any color pink and can be any crocheted item you want to make.
In other news, I adopted a soldier today and hope to have their address soon so I start sending things over they may need.
God Bless Happy Hookers Say What Permalink So it is another Monday. One of the good things about monday is ABC's Wife Swap. I swear that is the funniest show on t.v. I am so addicted to that show and have been threatening my husband to enter our names just to show him that there are way worse wives out there!! My hubby is slightly annoyed at me because I am somewhat of a neat freak and this show would definitely make him appreciate that I am a clean person because I am sure he would get a slob in the swap. I have been crocheting like crazy but no pics the camera is MIA. My parents have taken it for ransom (actually I just need to drive the 4 blocks and go get it!) I made a sweater for my 3 month old. It is bright pink and oh so cute. I am also making her a bonnet and botties to match, but my damn yarn somehow got entangled in a huge knot and I was too frustrated to try and conquer that mess. I am about 75% done with my big girl's star afghan. She is so excited because it is going to match her quilt on her bed. I am also working on scarves for Christmas and a shawl for myself. Sometime this week I will have pics. Seeing as how I still owe Deneen pics of Ray in her hat and Nat in her booties..... I think I am going to make me a poncho as well for Friday night lights (in Texas that is how we refer to high school football games). I really think that some of the ponchos out there are so very cute while some are totally butt fugly. So I am going to troll Rachel's site Crochet Pattern Central for a cute and trendy poncho for those chilly football nights. I am working on some afghans for my local Project LInus chapter and will hopefully get to attend a meeting this month. With my baby being sick (she is better now) and stress and just being so damn tired, I haven't had a chance to get to a single meeting. So I am determined to get some afghans done and get to the meeting to meet all the fabulous ladies of our chapter. Well I am off to accomplish something other than blogging.
